These terms are between you and Computron Tech (Pty) Ltd ("we") for the Doppelgone browser extension and website. By installing or using Doppelgone you agree to them.

What Doppelgone does

Doppelgone suggests which near-duplicate photos in your own Google Photos library to keep and, when you approve, moves the others to Google Photos' trash, where Google keeps them for 30 days before deleting them. Suggestions come from automated analysis and can be wrong: please look at what you approve. Doppelgone never empties your trash or deletes permanently.

Your account and use

Use Doppelgone only on Google accounts you own or are allowed to manage, and in line with Google's terms. Don't try to break, overload, resell or reverse-engineer the service or use it to process other people's photos without permission.

Not Google

Doppelgone is independent and is not affiliated with, endorsed or sponsored by Google. Google Photos is a trademark of Google LLC. Google can change Google Photos at any time; if a change stops Doppelgone working we may pause clean-ups until it's fixed.

Free plan, Pro and refunds

The free plan lets you scan and clean up 200 photos. Pro is a one-time purchase for unlimited clean-ups on up to 3 Google accounts. Purchases are processed by Polar (polar.sh), our reseller and merchant of record, under Polar's terms; prices include or add VAT/sales tax as shown at checkout. You can get a full refund within 14 days of purchase by contacting support@doppelgone.app or Polar. If we ever retire the product, we'll give 60 days' notice.

Our responsibility

Doppelgone is provided "as is". To the extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential loss, and our total liability is limited to what you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing here limits rights you have under consumer law that can't be excluded, including the South African Consumer Protection Act and the Electronic Communications and Transactions Act.
