We read metadata and checksums. For look-alike documents we read the text in memory to compare it and keep only a fingerprint; we do not store file contents. The details are on the trust page.
They go to your own Microsoft recycle bin. You or we can restore them for 93 days. After that Microsoft deletes them, not us.
Only people your admin invites, with roles: owner, admin, reviewer, viewer.
The total size of what we scan. If your tenant grows past it, we tell you before anything is charged; we never move you up silently.
